Visiting Researchers

Special Collections' physical materials must be viewed onsite in our researcher room, and must be proctored by a Special Collections employee. Employees are available by appointment Monday - Friday from 8 am - 4 pm. Appointments can be made by emailing archives@csusm.edu and are subject to employee schedules. 

Some materials are stored offsite; please allow at least three business days notice before your visit so that we can ensure that materials can be delivered in advance of your visit. The more advance notice, the better!

Special Collections is closed on days in which there are library closures, most often in observance of holidays. Please see Library Hours and Events for upcoming closures.

Classroom Instruction and Tours

Special Collections faculty are available to provide classroom instruction for CSUSM's disciplinary faculty, and tours for classes, campus units, and the general public, by appointment at set dates and times. To learn more please visit our Instruction page and our Tours page.
