Meet the Artist, April Ibarra Siqueiros

Location: The Makery, University Library’s 2nd Floor
Join the University Library in welcoming April Ibarra Siqueiros for an in-person discussion where she will go over the significance and meaning behind her curated exhibition, Zine Dreams: publishing in your hands. Ibarra Siqueiros’ collection is currently on display and can be seen in the University Library's third floor exhibit space from August 25th through December 15th. Zine Making Workshop: Where We Are From
Date and Time: Thursday, October 9th from 1 -2 pm
Location: The Makery, University Library’s 2nd Floor
Join the University Library in a zine-making workshop led by artist and librarian April Ibarra Siqueiros. Participants will collaborate on creating a collective zine that highlights their unique identities and stories. Using the poem Where I’m From by George Ella Lyon to brainstorm, participants will create a unique page about who they are and where they come from.
The event is free for CSUSM students, but there is limited space with a capacity of 25 participants.
This collaborative event is brought to you by the Common Read Program and the Context Exhibit Series.
